Pursuit of Unconventional Style

In the Summer of 2019, Don was riding the high of graduating college and considering what he wanted from the "real world." Expectations were all he had ever known: private schools, competitive rowing, competitive friends. Known for always looking put together, his parents enforced a dress code of collars, tucked in shirts, and turtlenecks throughout his childhood. Imagination was always his escape: watching old films, reading the classics, dreaming of charting an independent path. Reading a tell-all book about his hero JFK, he stumbled upon a word used to describe the style icons' way of dressing: raffish. Handsome, but unkempt. Unconventional, shabby and effortless. This was the way of living Don had always sought: knowing exactly what to wear at all times but never acting priggish or flashy. Going through life with a keen eye for style and guiding others to embrace the fact there is no such thing as perfect. After living and working on the East coast and the South, Don returned to Chicago and immediately felt the urge to help the countless men he saw walking to work with clothes which did not fit or flow. Raffish is a way of living: it is an acceptance of having a messy closet but knowing exactly what to wear. It's a self awareness that men can and must educate themselves on the importance of dressing well and presenting an effortlessness to others. This brand is of, by, and for the men who are never happy with simply adding up the basics. It's a north star for lifelong education when it comes to personal style.
